This Guide covers auditing of High Voltage and Low Voltage Permit and Work Management systems as defined under Industry Safety Rules. Auditing these systems should be undertaken by both Asset Managers and Service Providers across the Generation, Transmission and Distribution sectors of the Electricity Supply Industry.

In producing this Guide, the industry is endeavouring to ensure that Responsible Employees (Safety), Issuers and Recipients of Permits, Supervisors, individuals and work teams are assessed in a regular and nationally consistent manner, to ensure that Permit and Minor Work Management systems are applied and maintained to eliminate or minimise risk to employees who are required to access and work on electricity assets.
